This new stage system improves efficiency and protects against wear when pumping abrasives (sand). The 300 series stainless steel hub floats with the impeller maintaining a positive seal. A phenolic washer provides down-thrust protection, and an acetal impeller provides high efficiency performance and abrasion resistance. The floating stage design on this pump allows the impeller to float independently.
